Karen Myers Design has been involved in many of this client’s communication projects, which have been aimed at a number of different audiences.
The Case For Giving and Board of Directors Report marks the beginning of a brand refresh for the organization. As always, bold color and emotive messaging are key to the look and feel.
The vibrant and engaging 8ft by 10ft lobby display was created for a special four-day event at the Cleveland Public Theatre. We sought to convey the disquieting portrait of just how many people in our area live in poverty, including in the suburbs. This display now resides in the lobby at the United Way offices at Playhouse Square.
Prior collaborations focused on the message Together, We’re Greater—which was the theme of the organization's advertising campaign. Although this book contains a lot of straightforward facts and statistical information, we successfully wove several real-life success stories into the book. The idea was to put a human face on some of the people and families that this organization has helped change for the better. In utilizing this potent storytelling, we aimed to further inspire the community of volunteers and contributors.
The data-driven Community Assessment Report was developed as a companion piece to the Annual Report, and was presented to community stakeholders and business leaders at the annual Town Hall Meeting in Cleveland.
